Cold Wave, Inc. Heating & Cooling Service was established on March 30, 1989. We have always placed great importance on providing our customers with the highest quality products and services at a responsible price.
History
In May of 1984, Robert Scheffrin (owner) graduated on top of his class at the Aurora (Colorado) Public School Vocational Center, for heating & air conditioning. 
He participated and won awards in district and state skills competition run by the Vocational Industrial Clubs of America, which is now called SkillsUSA. After graduation, he apprenticed in one of the largest air conditioning and heating service companies in Denver, Colorado where he was promoted to service technician repairing large commercial equipment.
In September of 1985, he established Fire and Ice, Inc. The company specialized in servicing restaurant and light commercial heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment in the Denver Colorado area.
In March of 1988, the economic downturn in the Denver economy caused us to relocate the renamed company to Phoenix, Arizona. The company was established one year later where we found immediate success. Cold Wave, Inc. Heating and Cooling Service now specializes in residential and light commercial heating and air conditioning service and installation.
License & Insurance
Cold Wave, Inc. Heating and Cooling Service holds licenses with the Arizona Registrar of Contractors to service and install air conditioning and heating equipment in residential and commercial applications.

We are certified with the EPA to handle and recover all refrigerants. We believe in sound environmental protection practices such as recycling old air conditioners and the prevention of emitted refrigerants from damaging the Ozone Layer.
Cold Wave, Inc. Heating and Cooling Service is also bonded and holds substantial liability insurance. Proof of insurance, bonding, and workman’s compensation can be provided upon request. All sub contractors we hire are required to show proof of workman’s compensation and liability insurance. Our company is also licensed to do business in all city municipalities in the Phoenix metropolitan area. City building permits will be obtained if one is required.
